I was born in 1976, after the Vietnam war ended. From a peasant family. We do farming, grows our own foods, and basically on our own, no local police.
Location: Ap Tan Huong, Xa Tan Thoi, Huyen Go Cong Tay, Tinh Tien Giang, but it has change since 1976.
During this time in Cu Lao, there wasn’t any motor vehicle, once in a great while there will be a motorcycle, ways of transportation are using the water way boat and walking, sometime in the back of the cow or ox, and bicycle. No electricity, we use oil lantern, at night it’s total darkness and lots of insects making noise, sometime my grandpa couldn’t sleep he would light up the lantern and go find the insects or bugs that make the loudest noise and kill it, most of the time he failed to find it, but it does help because that bugs flew away.
